Hola chicas I’m still dreaming of the fall season much like yesterday and I’m counting down the days until I depart for London and Barcelona…less than 2 weeks!!! So the quick is all about transitioning summer items to the fall season…hope you enjoy the looks.
Chambray shirt, shorts, ankle boots & a blazer instant chic look for an early fall day. Add an arm party and in case the temps are a little chilly for your legs you can always add tights.
Riding boots, shorts and sweater opt out of the regular leggings for a weekend chic look to run errands, shop or grab brunch with friends.
O yes once again riding boots paired with colored jeans, tank and a scarf easy recipe for style success. Add an arm party if you desire and make sure you get the most out of those jeans – color is key year round and red is huge in the fall.
You can wear a maxi year round…skirt or dress simply add a front tie shirt and wear partially opened for the top to be on display to create a layered effect and print mix if you are so lucky. Mixing prints isn’t going anywhere so be bold and look fab.
Got a hot date or want to rock that sexy number…no worries add a turtleneck or tee, tights and finish with booties, so very simple. Bonus points for being on trend with gold and black, the color combo is huge in the upcoming season.
Of course the basic pieces required to transition any summer dress are a cardigan, tights and boots. It doesn’t get very cold here in Houston so I swear by this formula to get me by a chilly day or easy into the Fall season. If you live in a tricky climate like the San Francisco bay area these tips can help you too.
Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!

You took the words right outta my mouth! haha yes, in SF I could wear all of this year round and these are some GREAT inspirations!

Nic – glad you like them I’m super excited to wear some looks myself once its not so HOT here!
Well done. I like that his post doesn’t encourage more shopping but refashioning all the summer goodies. At least for me I’m trying to get better at transitioning things even though South Florida doesn’t really have a fall. Welcome to BLMGirls. Have a safe trip.
Thanks Kerissa I try to get the most out of my wardrobe and share tips like this with others! I’m so looking forward to my trip!
I envy the girls who can wear riding boots LOL. But thank God for booties like those cute gray peep-toe ones. I can totally see myself in that red dress with those opaque black tights and some booties. I LOVE FALL and SPRING, but especially FALL
nice post!
thanks so much…if it could be fall 75% of the year I would be soooooo happy! I just love the clothes
Love all the looks. I plan on transitioning most of my skinnies into fall! Your style looks come in handy. Bookmarking this post!
