Pop of Sunshine & Sisters Couture

Hola chicas cheers to the looooong weekend! Not only is it Labor Day on Monday but my wedding anniversary is Tuesday been 2 years with the hubs and time has FLOWN by. I wanted to share a look I wore the other weekend to the summer launch event at Sisters Couture complete details and pics of the event below.   But of course outfit details first, I wore this flowy bright Ellison yellow top (I have this shirt in another color – see here) tucked into a banded color blocked skirt, which I have had in my closet for YEARS, to strike a bit of balance between the colors and shapes.  I opted for a neutral yet funky snake print statement necklace and finished the look with bright flats.  I loved this outfit…when I put it on I just felt perfect – the right mix of girly, sexy, edgy and one of my favorite neutrals, animal print.

In case you have noticed I like to switch up my hair style so when I was invited to the summer event at Sisters Couture I decided to drop in.  Sisters Couture is a hair extension boutique in Houston offering premium virgin Brazil and Indian hair extensions along with Brazilian blonde and Malaysian.  They specialize in quality and can customize clip-in extensions to ensure the perfect and most importantly natural fit.  Guests sipped champagne and nibbled sweets while browsing clothing, accessories and of course hair extensions.

The event coordinator and lovely owners posed for a picture between hosting and chatting with other guests.  Angela in the middle has custom clip-ins while Sally has a sew-in install – for the extension junkies I heard the install was well over a month old and it still looks great.

I enjoyed a makeup retouch and had to snap a shot of the relaxed blazer look and this unique statement necklace from some of the event vendors.  Overall the ladies in attendance had a great time and some guests walked away lucky winners of the raffle – unfortunately I didn’t win a thing but enjoyed myself.  Added bonus for the makeup touch up from Lamik Beauty – did you see my brows?!?!  Love them.
