Printed Paradise

Hola chicas cheers to the weekend…it’s Friday!!  I attended the launch party on Tuesday evening for Houston based New For The Night and staying true to my new summer uniform of sheer pieces and maxis I decided to wear a light, airy, maxi with a sheer layer.

Dress – Laundry from New For The Night, Shoes – Zara, Earrings – Langford Market

New For The Night is basically the same concept as Rent The Runway rent designer dresses for events at a fraction of the price. The major difference is New For The Night has an actual store front in Houston so if you are in the area you can try on as many dresses as like. Since I was attending the event I decided why not stop by the store and try out the service. I’ve used Rent The Runway before and was extremely happy so the thought of trying on dresses prior to renting was just an added bonus.

The power of a little retouch has saved you all from my healing leg ;) I’m bandage free now but mostly keep it covered (still a little unsightly in my opinion)

So the overall experience in the store could have been a bit more desirable.  The store is primarily by appointment only, so my blogger buddy Nikki emailed to arrange a time…well we never received a response to the request so decided to stop by one day while in the area.  Perhaps the unexpected arrival was an issue as the clerk wasn’t the most pleasant, a bit cold and seemed annoyed.  However the store was empty so we had the place all to ourselves and pulled a ton of looks for a little fashion show.

I was very happy with the dress and chatted with the owner, Brittany Sakowitz, at the event who was very sweet and thankful for the support.  I can honestly say I will use Rent The Runway due to the large selection, discounted additional dresses and overall quality.  I will use New For The Night for the convenience of the Houston based store.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to hear from you.  Have a great weekend chicas!
