Hola chicas this quick tip is all about menswear inspired pieces – think tailoring, suits, blazers. Since today marks the last day of New York Fashion Week I decided to use looks from the shows to present how easy it is to look perfectly feminine in masculine inspired clothing.
This look by Zang Toi is far from too masculine by highlighting the beauty of the female figure with perfect tailoring of high waisted shorts, blazer and ascot inspired scarf. For the more conservative among us switch out the racy designed tights for solid colored tights and opt for a pencil skirt instead of shorts.
Noon by Noor provided looks with luxurious fabrics to achieve casual sophistication by day or exquisite elegance by night.
Another look from Noon by Noor is the perfect example of how showing a little skin makes a suit ultra sexy for the confident lady. For the more reserved add a lower cut top or layer a scarf along the blazer neckline to ensure more coverage but keep the neck bare to accentuate the skin.
Picture perfect like a work of art, printed top, tailored blazer and suit shorts. This look by Timo Weiland can easily transition to Fall by just adding a layer or two with tights, a scarf or any other outer layers.
At the Project Runway show Jennifer Hudson embraces the menswear trend with a monochromatic jumpsuit and blazer combo for a perfectly polished look.
So take note from the designers at New York Fashion Week and incorporate menswear inspired pieces for all seasons from Fall to Spring. Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear from you!
