Quick Tip Thursday – H&M Layer Up

Hola chicas today is huge in Houston the 2nd H&M opens!  We have been deprived down here a few weeks ago the first store opened and now the 2nd opens TODAY and is closer to my house   So in honor of the H&M opening I decided to create a summer look using lots of layers.  Yes layers aren’t just for winter anymore!  You can layer in the summer for the blasting AC, chilly evenings and various climates – just because it’s a MILLION degrees in Houston the same can’t be said for everywhere.  Plus layers can assist transition pieces from spring to summer to fall.

The base look starts with jeans or light weight pants, sleeveless top, large scarf and flats.  Grab your shades and crossbody bag for a chic effortless summer look to grab a bite with friends or run errands.

Toss on a loosely buttoned chambray shirt or printed top for days with a cool breeze or as an alternative to your office cardigan.  The fabric will be light enough to lay close to the body and not create too much bulk. 

For the last layer top off the look with a light weight neutral blazer and feel free to loosen up the buttoned shirt if you would like to keep things flowy.  This look would also be perfect for late spring or early fall and can go be worn to the office or be used as a staple for a weekend uniform.
