Hola chicas! Two things to know about me…there is always time for a vacation to the beach & I hate checking bags for flights! Between additional fees and the chance of the airline losing your luggage, I ALWAYS try to NOT check a bag.
Around this time of year with spring break, folks are trying to escape the cool weather or just in need of a break from the working world since many don’t get a holiday until Memorial Day – and that’s all the way at the end of May. I went on a trip with my husband to Cozumel earlier in the year and just wanted to share the items I packed to make the most of my vacation wardrobe. Of course swimsuits, flip flops and the perfect cover-up are key but what else….
I’m all about layering pieces to create various options and looks. Wear the dolman top, over maxi with scarf while traveling, having the cardigan in case the plane is chilly and use the large tote as your personal item. All your accessories, toiletries, and additional items can be packed in the tote and travel safely with you. Once you arrive just remove top layers so you can hit the hotel or resort in style.
You can easily create 3 completely different looks using 1 vacation wardrobe staple – the romper. Wear the romper with wedges, add a skirt for evening events and throw a dolman over the top of the romper to wear as shorts!
I promise all these items plus swimsuits and a cover can fit in a carry on and saving a few pennies by not checking bags is always a BONUS in my book Hope this was helpful and makes packing a breezy for your next getaway! Thanks for stopping by & I would love to hear from you!
