Hola chicas happy hump day! This weekend I attended a blogger brunch and Fall trends event at Katy Mills. I had great time with some other area bloggers and the folks at Katy Mills rolled out the red carpet for us providing brunch complete with mimosas and a behind the scenes look at a few of the major stores at the mall. The highlight of the event was the Fall trends presentation hosted by Last Call by Neiman Marcus complete details of the event below…but first my look for the day. I woke up early that morning and felt like I was still in vacation mode so I opted for a more casual look – I grabbed a tunic tucked it into my skinny jeans stepped into my leopard flats (cause they go with EVERYTHING) and topped it off with my fave new hat I picked up in Barcelona. Of course to complete the look I added arm candy and some earrings, simple and channeling my inner tourist.
Top – Bevello (different color here), Jeans – Forever21 ($10!), Hat – similar here, Bag – old (similar here), Arm Party – Shoe Dazzle, Langford Market, Earrings – Langford Market, Shoes – Abbey Dawn for Just Fab
The presentation by Last Call manager Phillip Wilson focused on the 13 major trends ranging from color to equestrian inspired looks – think riding boots and leggings with leather insert details. Last Call shared some looks to showcase the trends and Katy Mills director of marketing Cynthia Stansberry took us on a tour to Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Off 5th, Kenneth Cole and Cole Haan. One stop shopping at Katy Mills for everything you and the entire family will be on trend for the Fall….lots of pics below of the style options and looks.
Color alert! Color is here to stay so if shy away from color NOW is the time to give it a try…once again it is everywhere and for everyone including the guys.
Blue and green are both huge this Fall…from navy as a neutral to bold cobalt and military green to emerald.
Color, texture and prints are here to stay in ‘fancy’ pants. For the daring & fashion forward give it a try and for the more reserved it’s OK because all trends are NOT for everyone and that is fine. If you want to give ‘fancy’ pants a try I suggest trying a more subtle neutral option like gray snake print or black polka dots.
From eco-leather and eco-fur to the real deal you can’t wrong with some options at Katy Mills. Chunky heavy knits are a thing of a past the options now are much lighter weight and perfect for the Houston Fall and Winter.
There you have it 13 trends for Fall – lots of pics in this post so thanks for your patience! Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear from you!
