Hola chicas…sorry I’ve been a little MIA between work conferences and a busy home life I haven’t had the time to blog so please forgive me.  This Saturday I celebrated my birthday with a little sushi dinner and decided to share a few snapshots.  I’m officially a grown up and have accepted I can’t deny it anymore so I decided to embrace the sophistication and a did a little pop of red on the lip.  Confession time…I’m not a huge makeup fan and stick with neutral colors on the lips so this was a stretch for me.

I actually didn’t feel like getting dressed that evening I was in leggings and riding boots all day and loved it sooo much but I spotted this sequin blazer in my closet and decided it was perfect for a birthday outfit.  Pair the blazer with simple blue peplum top cause black & blue are in for the Fall and I always loved them together anyway add a statement necklace and arm party for a simple chic birthday look…when in doubt for a birthday outfit add some sparkle and show a little leg.

Hola chicas hope everyone had a great weekend!  Last week just wasn’t the best for me computer issues at work which lasted 3 days & counting, a flat tire & just overall in a little funk but I know things will work out so I have to stay positive.  As I wait for Fall to stay in Houston I’m at least happy to wear boots again…I LOVE boots.  This is a simple little look leopard cardigan over a tank with dark skinny jeans and of course a pop of color with the red bag because leopard and red go together like peanut butter and jelly, don’t you agree?
